Harley Deck won't plays mp3 discs correctly
I have burned at slow speeds fast speeds and no matter what I do it will only play 5 of the 30 songs burned. I am burning in the most updated version of iTunes. Does the harley deck only play a certain bit rate? This is making me insane. I make a nice playlist for a long ride and then I get to listen to the same five songs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Typically its the the art work attached to the songs that messes up the harley cd player. I had to remove it and that made about 99% of them play.
Havent burned a new cd in awhile since I just use my phone on aux now most of the time, |
Have you tried playing that mp3 cd in any other players? Man, iTunes is crap as far as I am concerned. It is obsessed with copyright, etc., to the point that songs you paid for cannot be transferred to another medium.
If all of your mp3's were purchased via iTunes, it won't turn out well. Question: The five that played....were they purchased through iTunes? Bet not. Take all of the mp3's you have that were not purchased through iTunes, then simply use cd burning software to burn them to a disk. They will play just fine. |
Generally the cause of your problem is embedded artwork and ID3 Tags.

I burned my MP3's directly to a cd. I play it in my 2013 sg with no issues.

I had mp3 CD's that wouldn't play right, because of "embedded cover art" as others have mentioned above.
I used a batch processor to strip out the cover art, re-burned the CD, and it played as intended. |
Remove the art and burn as data cd's.
|
Yeah what he said..
Remove the Artwork, and burn as DATA.. I get 150-200 songs a CD or 8 -10 hrs worth Thru windows media player Yes it's true I have had a few songs that just will not play so I found a different version .. and good to go |
OK so if I understand this correctly the HK stereo will play MP3s if you use Windows Media Player to make the CD.Do you have to do anything else like record as a data CD or edit artwork out?Sorry if this is a dumb question I haven't used Media Player in years.

You are correct. It will ask you what kind of disk you are making, select data. I can get over 140 songs on a disk. I have the same 5-6 bike music disks I have been using since 2011. Just keep them in a cd case in the tourpack.
