Default Stinkin glove box snaps on a Ultra

Got a new Ultra. Dam glove box snaps wont snap shut. Its like the metal snaps on the leather flaps r to small to snap onto the plastic molds. Brought it back to dealer. Sent out some young gun service helper with a can of wd40 and a screw driver and popped them on. Got home. Popped them off and wont go back on. I know. something small but cant use the boxes. 22 grand and stinkin snaps dont work. Thats bull in my book. anybody else have this happen

They are a terrible design, go ahead and upgrade to magnetic doors, they work great!

I have experience with 1995, 2009, 2011 versions- and no trouble.

when riding and I need something, I usually leave 1 snapped, and pivot or rotate the flap off to the side.
the 1 remaining snap makes easier to get the others done up while watching the road.

Go with the locked glove-boxes... NO problem w/ them... Same key fits your gas cap... Easy/Simple/Convenient...

i agree - the magnetic flaps are much easier to use and they stay shut.

I have had both the locking doors and the magnetic flaps. For those that don't need the added security of locking, the magnetic flaps are a great choice. No keys, no hassle opening them. I had my wallet in there once with the locking doors and came up to a toll-bridge. I don't ride with the keys in the ignition, but stored in the Tour-Pak. Didn't make any friends that day with all the passenger cars stuck behind me...

It was designed that way on purpose so that you would upgrade to the magnetic doors
