DIY Air ride install
#11
I did the home made air ride over the winter and it rides great, but if I put to much air in the shocks the rear axle nut comes in contact with my exhaust. I can feel if I have to much air in the shocks threw my floor boards. because the exhaust nut pushing on the exhaust.. I put a lowering kit on the bike to try to prevent it from happening and for the most part it did.

no tranny contact for me.. but if i air it all the way up i hit exhaust , i drop it about 1/2'' and take off and no probelms. my compressor is 98C i believe. here are a cpl of crappy pix but it got late on me before i could get any but will get more today,
you see my compressor location, full lift and layed out in these pix. i will get good pix today and maybe a video. i will also try to gget a parts list of what i used

I'll check how mine is set up tonight. It was on the bike when I bought it but nothing makes contact. My compressor is in the left side bag. Maybe my axle is turned around with the nut on the left side. I would guess that it is and then the shocks are probably spaced out a little bit too.

4bolts w/ lock nuts. fits great in there, need t oput s strip of rubber on the saddlebag support, it does rattle when you turn it on due to contact. not bad but could eliminate it. to my knowledge nobody has mounted it there. i didnt want it in my bag, this was my only option i could find. really dont notice it at all
