I bet you have the vance and hines true duals, don't you? if you do, they won't get any better than than, unless you start bending pipe, or really put pressure on the headpipe to get it centered, and risk breaking the pipe or pulling the studs out of the head. thats just the way the true duals are
Looks to me like it's the bags that aren't lined up right.
Look close at the spacing between the bag and rear fascia.
The right side bag has a wider gap at the bottom, and the left side bag is pretty even all the way down.
the bags are a bit off, but the V&H pipes bring the exhaust out at a slight angle, not noticeable untill you try to center the mufflers in the cutouts. I've installed about8 or 9 sets and every one angles it outward. I've tried making different brackets in the rear, but stressed the pipes so there was a harsh vibration, played with the center mounts, even tried heating my own set and put a bend in them but that just caused the heat shield to vibrate, its just the nature of the beast. If you look at the stock mufflers on a cvo, the tabs, are welded in a different spot on the muffler , and the stock pipes come more straight back. not much you can do. playing with them gets them more in the center but still way off the middle, which is what I wanted, and wanted for all of the ones I installed, it just doesn't work, at least I haven't found a way. I wound up going with a D&D fatcat and a ghost pipe, now its in the middle
One simple thing you can try for free. Loosen the clamp on the front of the muffler and rotate the muffler counter clockwise (looking at the back of the muffler as in the picture) and see if that doesn't center it a bit better in the space provided. Whether it does or not, don't forget to re-tighten the clamp. There is another way to explain this if this isn't clear.
