Tried many different brands, I have had Frogg Toggs for about 5 years now and many miles in hard rain. Always kept dry. If it is hot out they won`t make you sweat more and if its cool/cold they help keep you warm. They are great in my opinion.
I have #3 ,coat is a good fit,but the pants are way to long. both coat and pants have kept me dry through 5 heavy downpours so far,i'm pleased with the overall quality, but unhappy about the extremely long legs on the pants.wish the coat and pants on these were sold seperately for those of us who have shorter legs
Here is another thought for ya,... Wife and I are planning a fly&ride this July Anchorage to Artic Circle... I know we are going to see some rain.. Two years ago we rode up the west coast to Hyder AK - east to Jasper and back to CA... We found rain... We really get tired of on,off,on, off with the rain gear..... So, this year I bought these http://www.roadgear.com/catalog/detail.cfm?Prod_ID=216
This way, we are protected all the time - will leave the chaps at home and run the Roadgear. Then when we see rain ahead - all we have to do is don our rain jackets over our leather jackets....
Why didn't I go Roadgear jackets??? - spent enough extra on the pants and boots... Plus, I Really like my jackets and we have found the rain jacket over the Leathers give extra warmth and that may be needed...
I have learned - if you are riding in the rain and do NOT have good gear - They ain't nothin worse than wet leathers... will really ruin a ride...
