Default California emissions $200?

What's up with the $200 fee for California emissions on the 2014's? All 2013's never had the fee and unfortunately run hot at 14.7 to 1 in closed loop. Please tell me they richened them up!

Haven't you heard? California is almost bankrupt. They are going to extort money any way they can from the working man.

maybe when the "big" earthquake hits, california will just fall off into the ocean. gonna lose some good people, but it would be in the best interests of the rest of the country to lose those liberal tree-huggers.

Come on people, wake up. This is not a fee that goes to the State. Its for extra emissions equipment that the MOCO has to put on to meet CARB requirements. Its been going on for years. The money goes to the MOCO not the State.

The Ca. surcharge is usually for such as evaporative canister and solenoid.

If you have lived where you can see the air...maybe not such a bad idea.

I'm pretty ok with the Guy next door restricted from burning tires in his yard.

First off it is Harley not Calif. charging the fee. Calif. does have stricter emission requirements than the other 49. Harley is charging to meet those requirements. If ya don't think vehicle emissions are important ya don't know LA air in the 70s or Mexico City and Beijing today. And of course Calif. has the 8th largest economy in the world and supports more than its share of you "Real Americans". Maybe us "liberals" do know something?
