seeing that they are not available for 2014?

They are available if one chooses to purchase the leather bag kit for $800 and turn their standard into a classic. They just aren't making the base model anymore because the standard comes with everything the classic used to come with the only difference now is the hard bags vs the leather and I assume different wheels but I'm sure that is an option also.

Not available for 2014 but you can get a RK with laced wheels and WWW's.

now it's making sense.. not really though.. so HD just eliminated 'Classic'

In essence yes, HD quit making the FLHRC but you can turn your standard into a classic by opting to purchase for a sizable fee leather wrapped bags, laced wheels, and WWW.

They still sell the classic in other countries. In those cases the regular Road King has been dropped.

They didn't quit making the Classic.
It just isn't available for the North American market.

North American Market = Road King only
European/International Market = Road King Classic only
