Default New 2013 Road King Problem(s)

Off to a bad start with my new 2013 Road King standard. Starting on the trip home from the dealer I had problems with intermittent stalling at idle. I see no ryme or reason as to when it decides to quit since most of the time the bike runs and idles fine (hot or cold). I took it to the local dealer who also spoke to HD techs and neither had a good reason for it. They adjusted the clutch, remapped the ECM and they also tightened the throttle plate which they said was loose. Problems continued. Now it also looses power and sputters under acceleration on occasion in addition to the random stalling. Took it back to the local HD dealer a second time yesterday. The dealer tech and the HD techs seem to have no idea what the problem is after working together on it all day. I was told that HD placed the bike in out-of-service mode... what the heck does that mean. I am worried about any other damage occurring from this such as running too lean or something. Getting to the point where I don't trust the bike nor do I want to ride it. I apparently have an $18K mystery bike! Suggestions for my course of action with Harley?

Thanks for the thought but I don't think so. I have refilled a couple of times at different stations using premium grade at busy stations. Made no difference.

I would just make sure to document everything. Find out your lemon law in your state just in case.

Thanks... I have read the Ohio lemon law and it seems this is a perfect candidate after three trips for the problem. I started documenting everything as soon as I realized this was not going to be straight forward. I hope I don't have to go there.

Good luck getting it fixed or (my choice) replaced. Sad to hear about such a new bike being that bad from the get go.

Check the battery cables. My negative battery cable was loose once and the bike would stall once in a while for no apparent reason.
