Default Seafoam - magic ? really ?

I see Seafoam touted often in posts as a cure-all for bugs on windscreen to flat tires..well, not really but any fuel system query gets posts about seafoam.

Do we REALLY know that it helps.

Here is why I ask;

I did use seafoam in the fuel system of my old truck- which right away failed emissions ( high CO).

I did call the seafoam co. and left a voice message- i got a call back almost right away, and they avised that i should try to run all the seafoam through, then a couple more tanks...then retest...and the truck passed.

I have always been skeptical about magic fluids and lubes.

what say you all?

Mike

I use Seafoam about once a month to help keep the injectors cleaned out.

A few years ago my bike started stalling out when I would come to a stop. A buddy told me to put in the Seafoam and I did. It hasn't done it since. Coincidence, maybe. But I think it works. Magic, I wouldn't go that far.

I use seafoam, STP, Marvel's in mine. I'm not sure which one is best, or if any of them make a difference.

Pour some in a shot glass and drop it in a mug of beer then chug it down. Gauranteed to clean your system out.

Works ok in you bike also.

I've been using it or something similar for years. I feel especially compelled to use it now that there is ethanol in almost all gasoline.

I've used it in everything with a gas motor.
Usually can tell the difference same day.
Sea foam tune up (google it) got my daughters car threw inspection.
Put a can in an old zero turn with a weak motor, turn out motor ok carb was dirty.
Miracle no,,,but it is the best fuel system cleaner i ever used!

I use it in everything (vehicles, bikes, ATVs, snowmobiles, mower, weed eater, snow blower, ect) and buy it by the gallons at Advance Auto. With an online discount code I think it's about $45 per gallon and pick it up at a store. I add about 12oz to the oil and drive about 25 miles before I can my oil in my vehicles. I also run it through my intakes about 1 a year to clean off deposits on the tops of my pistons. It's worked magic on a couple vehicles by doing that but do it with caution.
