2013 Limited and True Duals
So I've got this 13 Limited and wanting to put Rinehart True Duals on it with the 4" Slip-ons. I'm talking to the local HD parts dept and the guy advises me against the Rinehart "classic" design headpipe because the goosneck pipe that crosses through rear of the engine compartment comes within an inche of the motorcycles Coil and will eventually melt it. Really?
I want the Classic duals because I don't really care for the Slimline duals that cross over under the bike.
Anyone have a 13 Touring bike that they've put Rinehart true duals on?

if that is an issue, have a heat shield made.
that is alot of $$$$ for pipes- I guess you really want them.
more than 1 aftermarket header didn't allow the owner to check oil or tranny without removing the header...that is the difference between a "show-bike" and a bike

There are thousands of bikes running True Duals without issue including mine.
Now that you mention this it would have been cool to shoot some temps with heat gun and see the actual difference. The stock pipes are routed further away from coil but with the cat in the pipe is generates more heat. The Duals wrap differently coming off the motor as you've probably seen which makes it more difficult to check oil and tranny, basically don't want to do it HOT. Got a digital oil cap that tells level and temp. Bike runs cooler on my legs with the Duals than stock exhaust but cant say for the coil caps ?

You might want to check with Eastern Performance or Fuel Moto for the pipes both will give you a much better price and know what they are talking about than your HD dealer.
Attached is a picture of the Rinehart XTDs and my dyno sheet before an after the TW-222 cams. Both before and after had the Rinehart XTDs on the bike.
Good luck.
