bar width
im trying to decide on bars and was wondering how people with the la choppers prime apes feel about the width of there bars? the reason I ask is because they are quite abit wider than say the twin peaks or the yaffe monky bars. Choosing bars are tough because you just don't know what your gunna like till you have them.:icon_denk:

I just installed a set of KST Kustom Mayhem 16-inch bars on my 2013 RK, and they are great. I believe they are about an inch wider than the Twin Peaks. I like the height and the width, and the only problem is that it puts the bars at the same height as truck and van mirrors when splitting lanes. The bars are very comfortable, and I am about 6-3.

I tried a set of apes, and couldn't run he wires... Out of frustration I called BR Customs to order a set of 16" Sweeping Beaters. He had a set ready to chrome and they were 40" wide. That seemed like a lot, and too much, but I'd have to wait 4-6 weeks to get him to make me some 34-36 inches so I bought them anyway. Very glad I did!!;! The wrist angle and feel is awesome!!!

I have the 14" KST Kustom "Mayhem" bars on my Limited and fully assembled they are 40"'s grip to grip. I too was worried about the width but they are pretty much spot on for me and I'm 6'3. The Prime Apes are wide than the Mayhems and fully dressed will be 41-42"'s wide.
