Default Trade to a 2014 ltd from a 2012 or wait ?

I left a deposit with the dealer to trade my 2012 Limited with 7K miles and $8000 for a 2014 Limited to be delivered in Feb but i am thinking mabe wait a year.Money is not the problem but should the extended warranty be a must in case the problems take a while to solve ?

That trade price seems a little steep to me. Maybe I am way off but I just traded my 07 Ultra classic with 16000 miles for a hold over 2013 Ultra Limited and payed $9700 difference. I know the dealer got incentves to discount the 2013s but $8000 difference for two years apart for he same bike seems high to me.

The price seems a little steep to me also, but if $$$ is not an object, go for it! You only live once. Extended warranty will pay for itself the first few times you use it, well worth it in my book but thats just MHO. Good luck.

Default Trade diff

The 2012 was $ 23k list and the 2014 is $ 28 K list so i looked at it as $ 3K for 2 Years was not so bad.

Your money, your deal.
You say that money is not an issue, but it seems like a financial fail to me.
Your bike is only 2 years old, what's wrong with it?
You only ride 3,500 miles a year, why do you need a new bike?
You already took the hit on the new '12, now your going to take another hit on a '14.

If money is no object and you really have to have a new '14, I would not hesitate to buy one.
The bike you're trading is barely broken in.

I kind of looked at it as delaying the hit i took on the 12 because if i had waited for the 14 i would have paid $ 28k anyway. So i got 2 years for $ 3k.I dont think that was a very bad lease. Thanks for the opinions. I can still change my mind.

Come to IL you can get the 2014 for 27k otd. Your money but unless you are planning to ride a lot more miles than 3500 per year save your money for one more year then buy a new leftover 2014. but that's just my opinion.
