Vance Hines Power Dual vs. Khromewerks Dual Header

Just bought a 2014 RK. Want to get rid of the cat converter. I bought some Khromewerks 4" Hp slip-ons with the touring baffle. I had their 3 1/2" on my 07 RK and loved the sound. Sof for a header. I was looking at VH Power dual and KW Dual header. I have to say the KW looks a bit 'cleaner' but i like both. price is similar. Anyone have any idea if they give comparable tuning results???
thanks.

I have the fuel moto stainless ceramic coated 2-1-2 head pipe. It's just like the V&H power dual but keeps the stock look. Plus side is the coating doesn't blue at all, will last forever being stainless, comes with lifetime warranty, dual O2 ports for wide band and narrow band tuning with power vision, and it retains the stock shields.

Love it.

pd's have 2 possible drawbacks

1.) IF the bike is lowered, the cover on the X pipe can contact on right turns- hard enough to relieve traction from the rear tire

2.) ensure that the clamp on the crossunder pipe is oriented so that the excess threaded rod is not hanging down where it can grab a speedbump or curb...if so I can tear the exhaust off the bike, or damage the oil pan to which the crossunder is braced.

fit and finish on the V&H is good, performance is fine

have no comment/experience with the other product

if you are budget conscious, then a stock header with the cat removed will maybe run up to $125.
so you'd have a $300+ advantage

I have the PD and was looking at the two you are considering. I went with the PD because of the unique look of the X and I figured its VH so the quality has to be good and I knew they sounded good. Figured if I'm going to spend $500 I wanted it to look different than stock and stand out a bit..lol... And yes I have drug the right side X shield once when I hit a bump on a very tight right hander. I don't think you can go wrong with either one, they are both going to make the bike sound much better than the stock head pipe with cat. It all comes down to personal prefrence on the look.

thanks for the suggestions and info. I'm leaning toward the KW's. I like the clean look and they still have the interconnected chamber that they claim adds low TQ over a completely true dual. I do also like the VH x look though. Just concerned about a couple comments on it dragging on a hard right turn.

thanks everyone!

I'll let you know what i decide on. It may be awhile. 1-3" snow today..... gotta love winter in Nebraska!
