I have a new 2014 Road King I purchased about a month ago. I just had the 1,000 mile service and am taking it in on Tuesday the 27 of this month (May) for a stage 1. I'm going with the new Rinehart headers and twin dual pipes; I like the way they sound and the tech who does the dyno tuning told me they produce some good numbers on the 103 engines. The handle bars are okay, but I'm looking for others. The factory ones are too wide and turn outward at the ends rather than somewhat inward, which I prefer. The only mods I've made so far is a sissy bar and luggage rack. I took the heel shifter off, I don't care to shift with my heel and none of my other Harleys have had one. It's a good bike so far. I've got about 1300 miles on it. I'm from Reno and am headed to Runamucca this weekend for their rally and am gearing up for Sturgis. Leaving the last week in July with three other riders for 20 days of fun. I know I'll like it more after the stage one, and it's dyno tuned. Get rid of that catalytic converter and air cleaner so it can breathe better and run cooler.

The 2014 cams are 255 cams, according to a parts guy in Daytona. Bike runs like a cheeta. I turned on the system that shuts down rear cylinder--from a start this gives an annoying hesitation. I have Rinehart 4" slipons and bought on ebay stock headers with cat removed (only $135.00 shipped). I tried an xied to enrich fuel/air ratio, but bike ran real hot. It's now at the dealer getting a tuner and dyno. The bars are much like the early Heritage bars, which I had on my '08. I moved mine down for comfort. Rotator cuff doesn't like to be up for long stretches. I have the mysterious red with WWW. A real beauty.
