'14 SGS or a Limited?

'14 SGS or a Limited?
Until recently, I was certain I was gonna get a SG. But I'm starting to lean towards a Limited. I've ridden both and both are great bikes in their own ways.
I do two kinds of riding - about 60% of the time is spent solo, 40% of the time is 2-up with my son. This summer we're planning more long trips this summer hitting as many baseball games as we can.
So I can either get a SGS and add onto it for 2-up (shocks, seat, tourpak, etc) or get a Limited and a detach kit for the tourpak. I'd really like to have all the extras on the Limited when touring. Does the Limited feel to big for around the town riding?
What does it cost to detach the tourpak on a '14 Limited? I assume to have to relocate the turn signals - anything else I'm missing? Is it about $1k to be able to detach?

I don't know how they work either, but I do know I rarely take my tour pack off of my street glide. It's too convenient once you get used to using one for anything other than around town riding. The damn thing rattles on the quick disconnect mounting point pretty bad now. I've considered switching to a fixed mount.

There is no official way to detach the tour pak on the 2014 yet. The four point mounting kit and detachable tour pak rack sold for the 2014 SG will work on the Limited. You need to figure out turn signals, license plate mount/light and antenna relocation for am/fm/wb and CB.
I've figured that all out for mine. I've done the lights and plate and have the detachable hardware and hidden antennas on order.
Signals (and additional brake lights): Custom Dynamics Plasma Rods

License Plate mount: Native Custom Baggers mount

Antennas: J&M internal am/fm/wb and J&M internal CB antennas

Additional changes: replaced taillight with HD LED version without license illumination window

The Limited stock is the better tourer and has a more comfortable suspension for the passenger. "Does the Limited feel to big for around the town riding?" In comparison to smaller, lighter bikes yes but in comparison to a street glide not really. You can do any type of riding you wish but the limited was made for touring and is Harley Davidson's ultimate tourer.
