2014 street glide seat or a 2012/2013 street glide seat which is more comfortable? I have the 2012 style seat and it hurts my low back due the seat pan and I sat on a 2014 model and the seat was a big difference. I want to confirm that it wasnt just in my mind only. Thanks

 

Depends on you.
The seat on my 2012 SG is very comfortable. I've done 500 mile trips and the seat doesn't bother me (my back of course is a different story). I'm 5'11, 178lbs. The seat fits me perfectly. 2 weeks ago, I ordered the HD mahogony brown solo seat and instantly hated it. It's so narrow and there's no real cusshion. I returned it the next day.

 

I will have to check my parts catalogs but I am very sure that the seats in question are in fact exactly the same.

 

Too much like asking whose hotter Jessica Alba or Jessica Beil.....depends on the **** or the eye of the beholder.....see what I mean.

Funny answers lol. seriously I took off my 2012 seat cause it had two pressure points in the lumbar area that was killing my upper *** area. So I bought an after market C&C seat from cali. I recently sat on the 2014 model and instanstly felt it sat different. Was just curious if they had modified the seat some. I know the look and fit are the same but the seatpad/pan felt different.

 

I like the 2013 seats better than the 2011-2012. Are they all the same?

Another thing I found ... I have an older Ultra seat with the steel pan ... keeps my bottom much cooler than the later plastic pan seat my bike came with, which cooked by backside.

 

08 Road Glide seat hands down. Out of stock seats anyway...

My '12 RGU seat is AWESOME and stock, knew it as soon as I put the first mile on it was a FINE seat. No expectation to ever change it.
