Help clutch cable install Magnum Shielding cable.
The direction doesn't show if you have to add a o ring on the end of the clutch cable that goes onto transmission cover? In order to remove the old cable from the trans cover and there is a o ring. But on the new cable there is not one so do I need to add one? Thanks for your help.

ya you need the o ring so the cover dont leak around where the cable screws in, should have been a new on in a little bag
|
You need the O-ring. IMO, I would purchase a new O-ring from a HD dealership. You sure don't want to put it back together & have it leak.

Go to ANY hardware store in town and grab one..... I have drag specialties cables on my apes (crap) and mine was missing the o-ring. Ace hardware, lowes, Home Depot........just take your cable. It's a snug fitting ring, shouldn't be a loose fit. Not ONE leak in over 3k miles since installed

When I installed mine it had a new o-ring.

Call Magnum and have them send you one , also when I did mine magnum did NOT want any cable lube applied.

It should have had an oring for sure. I would contact whoever I bought it from and have them get me the correct one. You paid for the new cable so it should be complete.

Should have had the O-ring in a little bag recheck or do the hardware store but bring the cable with you will want a tight fit or you will have a mess.
