Default 2014 Battery Tender connector

Is this a new size connector? Will any aftermarket battery tender (like a BT Junior) connector fit or do I need to buy it from my dealer? Thanks...

Wow. That is the exact question I am going to ask this morning when the dealership opens. Great minds want to know.

It looks different, but a regular Tender Jr. plug fits perfectly.

Mine works perfectly with the BT Junior. The plug is a bit snug, but it's the same.

Apparently part of the dealer prep on my '14 SGS was to install the pigtail for the tender. I guess they didn't realize there was one under the left side cover. The fact that it's not connected to the battery terminals may have had something to do with it.

At any rate.....I find the one they installed more convenient with the right side hook up anyway.

I got a "Walmart special" battery tender as one of my Christmas gifts, and the connector fit the battery connector on my 2014 Iron 883 just fine. It is a little snug, but worked out pretty well.
