Default Who owns a toy hauler and what is the best one?

Ok I will admit it sometimes we have to go on vacations with multiple Other people. In laws and such. Does anybody have a toy hauler? I am looking to buy one, My father in law is also aging so he can't ride all day.

What would y'all suggest?

We have a Keystone Fuzion. We looked at a bunch and liked the keystones. Its a 373, supposed to be a 37 footer but its actually 40ft. Tows like a dream lots of beds and room (triple slide) with a nice 12ft garage...bunks in there as well. I haven't put the harley in it yet, but plenty of room for two of them. We have taken it from AZ to WI (3 days) and it was a dream to stay in. We have spent an entire week in it and never got cramped. Not sure what size you are looking for, but the fit finish and quality in my opinion are top notch. The only complaint is the decals...several years in AZ took its toll.

I own a Forest River Work-n-play. It is kind of on the heavy side. It is very spartan on the inside with 4 fold down racks for bunks, and a fold out futon for a two person bed. Nice bathroom, shower and great kitchen area. Huge, open storage area. It has beeen great, but I may sell it and get something a little lighter. I had a Chevy 2500 that pulled it great, but at 10 mpg with or without the trailer my 60 mile round trip to work was pricey. My 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 struggles, but hauls it OK, but strains uphill.

Lots of factors figure into which one.

What do you have for a towing vehicle? If it's a half ton you are more limited.

I have a half ton towable Fun Finder Xtra 275, 30 foot pull behind.

No matter what class of toy hauler you will have give up some something to gain something.

More info from you will help.

Keystone outback 230RS - only 5300 pounds and 27 feet (extends to 32) so I tow with my half-ton (2009 Ram Laramie). Two king size beds, one flips up to fit my RKC widthwise. I do use a ramp extender though. Tows like nothing, and once unhitched I still have the benefit of a smaller carlike half-ton. Fits my DRZ and Fireblade together too.

+1 on keystone, but I guess maybe I'm biased because I work there. Lol

I have a 40 ft All American sport with 2 slides in the living room and a 10 ft garage [ for sale by the way ] , as mentioned a lot depends on your tow vehicle , look for lots of storage room and big bathroom , this is our 3rd one and there is always something that you wish were different

Last year we purchased a Fun Finder X-Tra 276 by http://www.cruiserrv.com/ Click on the link to see the layouts. We really enjoy it. It's nothing over the top, and has everything we need. Ample storage room, and a full size bathroom. Also we found it a good value for what we paid, and it can be difficult finding a used one.

The Fun Finder X-Tra 276 is a light unit and technically half ton towable. We towed it from Pennsylvania to Robinville NC last August to visit Dragon Country. We had a 2008 F-150 with the tow package, rated to tow 9,200 lbs. So with my FLHTK loaded, we really wished we had a 3/4 ton truck, something to keep in mind. We ran into a deal on a 2011 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 Cummins, that we did't turn down. The price was right, plus I got more than expected for my 08 Ford. So now we can tow just about anything. It is our first time with a toy hauler, so lots to learn, and as we find what we like and dislike we are taking notes for our next one in about 7-10 years.

This is an easy question to answer, Amsoil. That's right Amsoil is the best.
