My buddy has a 98 road glide with the marelli efi, hes trying to get a newer style air cleaner bit keeps running into not for his type efi. Can he change backing plate or anything of that nature?

 

If you want an air cleaner besides Arlen Ness Big Sucker, you will need to have a shop machine the "non-Marelli" backing plate into an oval opening. I have seen it done.

I ended up just buying the Arlen Ness one with a chrome billet aluminum cover. Works great!

 

I'm running the forcewinder snorkel intake cone k&n filter setup on mine, they make one specifically for the MM efi. I believe it ran me right around 250 for the setup... Actually, here's the link.
