Default 2008 Road King Classic light bar

I'm lookin for a more narrow light bar for my turn signals on the back.. Kinda how the street glide ones are today.
Would a street glide bar fit and 08 road king? Or...
Thanks for any help

you would need a light bar from 2005 or newer ( the mounting studs are narrower from 2004 down)

try this part number:

68629-05

I have an 11 RKC. I bought one of the Street Glide rear light bars. I love the look of them! Well, I spent an afternoon tearing down my rear fender to attach said light bar, only to find out the electrical connectors don't fit. The mounting holes don't line up either. Expensive mistake, but I did recoup some of my money and sold the light bar in the for sale section on here. Love the look of that light bar, but it simply won't fit on a RK. Sucks that the MoCo designed it that way, but at some point I may get the Kuryakyn one.

Thanks for the info. I'll check the kuryakyn one out!

Yeah, Kury has a couple of good looking options for rear light bars for our RK's. They're just kinda pricey. Like yourself, the one thing on my King that I'm not really crazy about is that long, wide, straight light bar they put on em. I guess thats the RK look, but never been a fan of it.

I'll have to look into them. I just figured a street glide light bar might have been able to fit

The HD catalog has a short rear bar for the RK's. It's about 3 inches shorter than stock but helps. I think it is part #68611-98.

There are a couple of aftermarket shorter bars, I believe 2 lenghts. I was able to get it on a RKC with no prob and it takes factory turn signals. Matched perfect on mount ends and chrome is great quality. think they are 30 to 40 bucks.
