You need to learn the API specs....any modern oil spec will exceed those listed.
Probably correct. At least one of those is an older diesel spec. Point is MOCO does not want you to know the gas engine oil spec so you won't use other oil. And they only recommend the diesel for an emergency.

Which is it? Either a C rated oil is recommended by Harley Davidson to run the bike on all the time or HD is recommending usage of any oil because any oil is better than a c oil? Or are you going to try to correct me again, smh.

i have a 02 wide glide and just turned 125,000 miles. I have been using syn3 all these years in all 3 holes. The trouble i'm having recently is that after HD service, I'm good for about 2-3 thousand miles and then I have to add a quart to the engine every 800-1000 miles? Anyone else having this issue?
I've got a '12 SG and I'm going to be changing all the fluids soon. I was wondering if there's a reason to use the Syn 3 in the primary and trans vs specific primary and trans synthetic fluids
There are plenty of reasons not to use Syn 3 in anything but the crankcase.
