Plenty of bikes and HD's only have disc's on 1 side on the front and they don't pull to one side or the other.

the brakes won't cause it to pull, even if only one side was working it will stop straight unless your leaning or not dead straight when u hit em.

I would try it on different surfaces to see if it brakes suspension or some thing else.

don't know what you mean by low speed- define.
when i ride at 'low speed' like parking lots etc. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna use my rear brake pretty much exclusively mike |
front brake during low speeds/gravel/sand does not work very well. Sounds like the front tire was locking up due to the surface.
If the surface has gravel lose rocks/sand Even just a little. If you have not taken a riders course I suggest you think about it. |
Somehow I ended up in the wrong thread.

My guess, not specifically brake related, two contributing causes. Harley front end design seems to cause a "turn tightening" force when the front wheel isn't straight ahead when braking, typically only noticeable at low speed. Second, you don't provide the mileage on your tires. As tires wear they begin to follow or react to ruts and longitudinal seams in the road. You will feel a wobble or the bike wanting to turn to go down the side of a rut. Applying the front brake on a seam or rut magnifies the reaction. Were you turning or on a seam when you noticed this?
