Wow, what a difference!!!

Ok, I purchased a 2011 Ultra and the first thing I did was change the slip-ons to the SE street cannons to make it louder. I like the sound, but my next adventure was to change out the headers and intake. Yesterday, I flashed my ECM with my PV, changed out my stock headers with Jackpots 2-1-2 (stainless steel) and changed my intake to the SE stage 1. I have to admit changing out the exhaust wasn't difficult except for lining it up. That took some time, but in the end it was worth it. I mainly did the headers to remove heat and increase performance. I knew that allowing more air through the system would also make it louder, but WOW its definitely louder with the new system. I was surprised with how much more louder it was with it. I was even more surprised with the performance. Its like a whole new bike! Granted, I didn't take it out long, due to after the installation it was getting dark and I was tired after working 12 hours. I took it around the block and immediately noticed the pick-up. I am looking forward to this weekend when I can test how it reacts on the highway. I am going to go back this afternoon, make sure everything is buttoned up, just to make sure there isn't an exhaust leak and the bolts are tightened.

Thanks for all the assistance with the information and encouragement.

The best part about owning a scoot is making it your own. Great job, Chkybak! :icon_clapclap:

Enjoy the "new" ride and welcome to the forum.

The stage 1 with aftermarket headers does make a world of difference in throttle response. Changing cams will double that response.

Next cams...

X2 with basically everything said here. My bikes runs and sounds so much better than the stock configuration which in my opinion scored a 5 on a scale of 1-10. Stage one I score it an 8. When I do the cam I'll give it a 10.

I'm amazed how much the note changed with my stock mufflers and no CAT.

Wow

The stock head pipe w/cat is like trying to run with a cigarette in your mouth!
