Which is better - Touch Up Paint Pens or the Small Bottles?

the touch up paint i bought for the wife's caddy came in a bottle that was either a pen or a brush. the pen is okay for a scratch but for a 'chip' you'd probably want to use a brush.
the big problem i had with ours was that after using it once, the pen has no real provision for cleaning so next time i tried to use it, the paint had dried in the flow tube so was never able to use the pen function again. always had to use the brush.

Depends on the blemish and your personal taste and skill...the new Duplicolor's have both in one container...very handy. I ususally use the brush. It seems to me that the pen is good for one use only before it clogs up, although I reckon one could loosen it up again with acetone, lacquer thinner, or carb choke cleaner.

I have the Color Rite kit coming today. I read the pen is more for scratches and the brushes are more for a chips.
Mine is chipped. So the kit includes primer, base coat, and clear coat. Also included is some polish and sanding stuff.
Color Rite has a few Youtube video's to help with the application.

if it is a pearl a pen sucks, pearls are two color....basecoat and let it set for 2 days, scuff it and then apply the pearl coat...just an FYI get a good Naptha cleaner and do it right...
a toothpick cut just right will help you get what you need where you need it..I have a friend in the med biz, I use a syringe used for injections, hard to come by but worth the hassle.....

the best way to touch up any size chips is to go to your local auto paint store and buy a pinstripe brush. it will allow you to have a pinpoint end to fill in the chips. the least amount of paint on the brush, the smaller the tip will be. i've been a detailer for 35 years. it works. hope this helps.
