Jason, great product and absolutely fantastic customer service. All questions answered, install was easy. My thermal switch just malfunctioned and within hours of reporting it I had a response and new switch on the way. Thank you for that. BTW, did I mention great product? Very quiet and moves a lot of air. I do not keep track of temps but have to think that these are cooling things down appreciably. I just took a class called Ultimate Bike Bonding from MSF which has you in a parade-mode-on-steriods for hours. Temps were near 80* ambient. I cannot report actual CHT but know in the past the bike just felt a little different when running in similar conditions and getting wicked hot. With the fans it seems to continue to run like it just warmed up. As far as feeling heat while sitting idle...I think it's less than before.
I have been considering these fans for my 13' RG. I live and ride in "very" hot So Cal desert temps and the heat from the bike is too much at times. My Power Vision CH temps (not oil temps) reach 300 degrees and higher pretty easily in city traffic. Now my question is: I wasn't aware the Fans would cool the oil temp as they are not an oil cooler ? I just assumed the fans would circulate air around the CH and cool that area off. I have also been considering replacing the stock oil cooler with the Reefer Oil Cooler to lower the oil temps. Not sure if the fans or the upgraded cooler would offer better results ? Some to be saying the fans are cooling their oil temps which somewhat surprises me. Opinions ?

The oil will be cooler since there would be less heat in the heads to be transferred to the oil as it lubricates the heads. Likewise, a cooler oil supplied to the engine will help in keeping the engine temperature down some. Lower the temperature to any part of the system, and the other parts that are part of the same system will be cooler as a result.

I have a Power Vision that I use to monitor the CHT and one of the Harley oil temperature dip sticks. I see lower oil temps with the fans than before I had them. I can tell a big difference in the CHT with the fans on in the Northern Virginia suburbs.
I've got Jason's fans also. Have the bridge covers and the fans still do a good job.
I also use the Ultra Cool oil cooler to assist in engine cooling. For the limited time I have rode this year (it's 39 and raining here now), My engine temps are way down. IMHO these two items are the way to go.
The bike has a stage 1 and SEPT download.
I have owned the LeNale fan when I had my TC (107" 11:1, 136HP) and it did a good job cooling that engine. I just installed a Ward's fan on my Shovelhead and IMHO it is a much better quality product.
I have the snap switch, which works well too. It has kept my head temperatures down in this high heat of Albuquerque. I noticed about a 20 degree drop in my oil temp. with the FCS fan. I installed a Jagg cooler afterward and between the two of these, by engine stays cool.
I cannot hear the fan (or feel the heat) when the engine is running, only when I shut it off do I hear it.
It is a very well made product, and I like how it looks. Jason provides excellent customer service. I would not hesitate to purchase another one if I ever get another bike.
