changing all 3 oil holes every 3k is a good thing

I change all 3 every 3k miles. I dont think its over kill. Its not about the oil break down and synthetics and all that but its more about getting all the contaminates out asap. Metal chips. fibers and so on. In a race bike the oils are changed out after every moto, run or race. i figure it costs 400 bucks for a dealer to do it and i do it myself for about 65 bucks so why not. Maybe its just me but after a 3 holes are changed she just seems to run better. Im not rich but im not lookin to save money on maintenance either. i save by doin my own routine maintenance. anybody else do this.

I agree completely.

I have always done it that way.

Yep

I change every fall which is about 3000 miles. The old oil looks dirty enough to me to say I'm glad I did that.

I follow the service manual recommendations. Oil &. Clutch adjustment every 5K, primary every 10K, Trans every. 20K. Fork oil & fuel filter every 50K.

I do the same with my 4 wheel vehicles, anything more they mfg recommended service intervals is overkill.

I have 54,000 miles on the bike, and it still runs great.

change them every week would be better. (every day would be over kill).

Change oil & filter every 2500. Other fluids and stuff is done by service manual.

In hot weather engine oil in a Harley boils. If you don't believe me pull your dip stick on a really hot day. I change my engine oil every 1500-2000 and I run royal purple synthetic oil. to me its cheap insurance.

I change engine oil and filter every 5k trans and primary every other oil change or every 10

Forks every 3rd change or every 15
Seems to make sense to me

I do oil and filter every time

Oil and filter and trans and primary

Oil and filter and forks

Only at 30 60 and 90 do all three come up together. Also I know the time I do engine oil and filter only the next time will be a larger service so gives me time to buy supplies

So makes sense to me

Way overkill. Your bike, your time, your money, but there's no reason in the world to change more often than what the manual recommends.

I'd be changing oil every 3 weeks or so during the summer if I went with that schedule.

I don't believe you. I've got UOAs that definitively prove you wrong. But I bet the Royal Purple company appreciates what you're doing.

I do all three holes every 2,500 miles with Syn3.... no issues 43k on this bike and 86k plus on past 05 Deuce. Leaving to go from NC to CA in a few days 8k in 23 to 25 days probably will not change any fluids????? hope all is OK. I am betting all will be fine.
