Steering Stabilizer Bracket really necessary?
I just purchased a set of OEM vented lower fairing for an 09 RK. According to the Kutter HD website, it states that the purchase of a steering stabilizer bracket P/N 83865-09 will be required. Is this really necessary? Or should I wait to see how the bike handles first before purchasing it. I have a 21" front wheel and it's lowered 1.5 inches in the front. I'm not sure, if it'll make a difference or not. Thanks in advance!

Never heard him complain. And trust me, if there was anything wrong he would complain.
He does have the non vented kind. Not sure if that would make any difference. He's got an 03 anniversary RK.
And it just occurred to me that the Road King CVO has lowers but doesn't have the stabilizer.

'Have vented lowers on the '05 SEEG (came with lowers) and the '09 SERG ( I installed the vented lowers along with the '10 & later fairing brackets) 'didn't know anything about the stabilizer / bracket. I don't need one on either bike (stock rims).
You might ride the bike a little before you buy the stabilizer to see if you need one?

For some reason I thought steering stabilizers/dampers for the touring Harleys did not exist. Glad to see it actually does exist.
Not rushing out to buy one, but many an instability problem can be rectified with a steering damper. Especially overloaded and high speed instability problems.
