HD 12V Saddlebag Port Has Power, But Won't Charge IPhone?

2011 Street Glide.

12V HD saddlebag power port, wired directly to the battery.

Getting a constant 12V (checked with meter), but this port won't charge my Iphone 4S.

Tried using different charging cords, but no luck.

I'm baffled, any ideas?

Thanks

check your usb/ 5 volt phone charger thingy, the ones with an led are better as I know that I have missed contact in my car, truck and bike.

you may need to rotate the plug to make contact

You sure the polarity is correct? +12v is on the center contact.

I tried two different charging cords (1 w/LED).

They both work in my trucks cigarette lighter, and neither work with the HD charging port.

Thanks

Yes, the center of the 12V power port is positive (+), the sleeve in negative (-).

Thanks

Yes, center is positive.

Don't know about the outside case.

Both pos. & neg. wires are wired directly to the battery (via a fuse).

Thanks

check your ground...

Connect the negative to the ground instead of the battery?
