I called Howard last week about rear shocks. I have had a couple of injuries this year because of the bad stock air shocks. They are so bad we have had to cut riding down to short trips. I gave Howard a blank check and said I want the best. I ride most of the time with my wife so I want her comfortable also. After answering Howard's questions he told me he was going to make me a set of Ohlins. I expected over a $1,000 but when he told me $750 I was shocked, no pun intended. Howard is about doing what is right not making a sale.
Dose any manufactuer make shocks ride like the old Cadillacs we all love. Kind of like floating on air???
That would be a great experience.
Like several here have already stated....call Howard at Motorcycle Metal. He can set up either the JRI's or Ohlins to get you what you're looking for. They can both be set up for the Caddy ride or an aggressive race ready feel. It's all in the setup.....and you won't find ANY Ohlins dealer that will go the extra mile that Howard does! He also has the new Ohlins front cartridges.
Don't forget to mention that you heard about him on this forum....you will get a discount. Check out his website, loads of information.

I switched to these and could not be happier after having stock Roadglide shocks then streetGlide air shock. They are adjustable and made to your specs.
JMO but I think they are all overpriced!! If the man behind the automotive parts counter quoted you a price like that for shocks for your car or truck you'd swear he'd lost his damn mind.
2010 Limited with some stuff
Couldn't agree with you more...but the difference is that usually when you go into an automotive parts counter, you are buying something that you really NEED for the vehicle that you NEED.
When a Harley owner goes to the parts counter to get a gimcrack or geegaw for his toy, suddenly all the rules are out the window, and he NEEDS to buy that overpriced gimcrack or geegaw. He will then willingly and happily fork over the bux without complaint!
But oh! Paying for an upgraded part for his daily required commute or to trundle his family around? It's wah wah wah!
