Preference: mustangs super tour seat or Hammock rider seat?
I still going nuts looking for a seat. Just got my stock seat back from Mean city cycles and sorry to say I'm very disappointed as it did not move me back enough and it's still a nut buster!
Thinking of trying the hammock rider seat or the mustang super tour seat for my next move. Would love to hear opinions of those who are familiar with those seats. The stock seat of the SG seems to put me in a good riding position as far as front to back but I would imagine that is not a seat for long distances. |
Just sold my Mustang Vintage solo to another member. I'm 6'1'' and it set me a good bit back from the stock EGC seat, lower too. I liked the riding position a lot...it is similar to the SG's that I've sat on, but it made my tailbone ache after a couple hours which is why I parted with it.
I went to the rider Hammock but I've only had it for a few days. It is further back than the stock seat but not quite as much as the Mustang. It is also higher than the mustang...about the same as the stock EGC seat. I've got no complaints so far but I must say that it gobbles up the bumps extremely well and provided the relief I was seeking. Good Luck, finding a good seat can be a challenge. |
I have the Mustang wide touring solo with riders backrest on both my bikes. About 6 years on first bike and got another as soon as I got the second bike. Have the passenger pillion as well but only have it on when the OL rides.

I have a road king and used the mustang and loved it but went with a cop solo seat and like it alot. I know thats not for you but I think you will be satisfied with the position and feel of the mustang

I have the Super Touring Mustang, it is a comfortable ride for me. Sets you back and lower compared to stock. Dealer will let you try a Hammock, I think I would do that before shelling out the coin.
