Garage & Gate opener
1 Attachment(s)
The guys at Mo-Door are the bomb. I needed a garage door remote opener. I also needed a remote to open my front gates. Now there are a lot of garage door remote openers. But nothing for my gate system.
EJ and I exchanged lot's of email and he said send in one of your gate remotes and we'll see what we can do. They took my remote apart and wired it so a remote switch would work on it. So now I have a very clean system set up on the switch cover. It is also a double switch in one socket. The ease is so cool and the remotes range is great. Now with the push of a double switch both my gate and garage open right up. The remotes are battery powered so no cutting into any power wires. And they are inside the fairing held in place with Velcro making it snap to change a battery. EJ and the guys are great and more then ready to take on any remote challenge you may have. |
cool work- BTW there are 200 posts in the DIY sticky thread about garage door openers.
some add switches, or better yet relays on the high beam or turn signals. these can work with GDO's or gates. mike |
For my garage, I simply velcro an extra opener to the front of the tour pak just behind the lower back cushion kinda on the right side. Easy peasy and no wiring or mess. Reach back with the right hand, hit the button, done. When the battery dies in a couple of years, it will take me 5 minutes to change it. Not very high tech, but it works perfectly.

That's nice, clean work, Joe!
I have one of those switches in a box somewhere... and no bike that it will fit. |
