I had the touring pullback bars installed with all new extended/braided cables a couple weeks ago on my '05 Ultra.

$440. Very very pricey but worth every buck!!!

Much more comfortable position. GO FOR IT - you'll like 'em.

I would have preferred the braided cables--why they are not yet available for the 07's is beyond me. Was able to get the braided brake cable though. I may could have gone withaftermarket braided cables I suspect, but I did not want any issues with fitment.

I just did this install yesterday. I was able to keep all the same cables.
Now I did have to work the brake line a bunch (and I probably need to replace it one day) and had to re-route the clutch cable but its still in the fairing.

Bottom line, 40 bucks for the bars, spent nothing else....

I usually do the chubby bars, and do the internal wiring and all, but it's kinda a waste with an SG...IMHO. No offense to those that went that way.

"Easy"...........When you got the pullbacks installed, you had to lengthen the cables, right? I checked on this one time and my stealer suggested I go with braided cables since they had to be replaced anyway. Bottom line was that for a set of $50 bars, had to spend another $550 in parts and labor to install the bars and the braided cables. Thanks...........Radman

I had it done too with the SS braid cables on the brake lines. I like it for riding. But, the draw back is that it makes the bike harder to push around. The higher bars move the push point up higher. Cost about $600 with cables and labor.

shortleg, which dealer in Rockville? I installed the pullback bars and used the existing cables because I didn't want to buy them twice (once for the standard and again once the ss are out).

I did it on my 02 EG Kept the clutch and brake changed the other ones. If you live in cold weather area I would recomend heated grips. I had to make the wires longer but well worth the effort.

My Harley-Davidson dealer did mine here in KY and didn't change out any cables or brake lines. 40 for the bars and 3 hours labor.
