Default Where do you find jacket replacement snaps?

I have an older HD Heritage black jacket, nylon, waterproof (98261-07VM/002L) that I like and find comfortable. It seems as though the black button snaps have been popping off. I'm now missing (4) of them. Where does one find replacement snaps? I don't really need to get the original ones (but that would be nice if available), just some generic black ones would be fine. Do I need a special tool to install them?

when i have problems like that i do one of two things
- ask the local dealer who they use for taylor work, and those guys will replace zippers and snaps. had the snaps and side zippers broke on my leather overpants and the guy fixed it right up.
- some shoe repair places will do more than just shoes. the one near my house has done a lot of stuff for me including fixing luggage, shortening belts, and fixing leather snaps. his charges i can't beat with just the parts

You could always try the dealer too. Last year on a trip, I had a zipper pull break off on my favorite jacket. I went to a dealer and they just happened to have a huge selection of snaps and zipper pulls. The guy that helped me dug through all the little bins he had and found a matching zipper pull. Sure worked better than the piece of wire I had to use till I got it fixed.

Had a snap break on my rainsuit. Found replacement ones at Joann Fabrics.

Default Fabric Store

A fabric store is the cheap solution. I lost two snaps on my leather over-pants and I found black snaps that came with the two little tools you will need. Other than that you need a hammer and a solid surface. I used the anvil section of my shop vise.

I'm pretty sure all the Harley jackets have a 5 year full warranty on them if it is fairly new you could try that route.

Joanne's or any other fabric store usually has all the kind of stuff.

The dealers here all have replacement snaps and a snap setting tool. I took one of my jackets in that the snap came off and they fixed it for no charge.

Hope this helps,
