I installed this speedo/tach back in 2008 shortly after I bought the RK and both the speedometer and tachometer worked correctly up until a couple of months ago.
The problem that I am having is that, on occasion, the speedometer will be completely off. I may be cruising at about 70 - 75 mph and the speedometer will read in 30's - 40's. I know this is not correct as my GPS does state the correct speed. The tachometer, on the other hand, seems to be functioning correctly. Also, on occasion, when I shut the bike off, the speedo needle will stay put at about 30 mph. When I cycle the ignition switch, the speedo needle will return to zero again.
Hoping someone can shed some light on this! Otherwise, it's a great reason to buy the Dakota Digital Speedo/Tach combo!
I was wondering if you still had the install instructions? If so, could you post them please. I have the same one and can't seem to find mine anywhere.
