Default 31t trans pulley

Just wondering from the people that have put the 30 or 31t trans pulley on, how much does it increase RPM? I would like to increase mine about 200rpm. Bike is a 2013 street glide

The 30 tooth will increase your rpms by 300.

I went from 32t to 30t on my 2010trike and it made a huge difference. Had a TTS at the time so redoing speedo was no big deal. used a trike 30t from Harley that cost $68 brand new seems that 70mph was around 3000rpm ,but was a trike so back tires may have made a difference

go to Andrews site and view catalog pages for gear ratios

thinking of this also,31t able to use stock belt....2014limited

I never use 6th unless doing over 65mph and has no effect on my mileage getting 43mpg going 2 up on 2014

It's easy to work out for yourself. Make a note of the rpms at your chosen road speed, then simply multiply by 32/31 or 32/30 to give you the revs for 31T and 30T respectively. At 2,500rpm your new rpms will become 2,580rpm or 2,667rpm. Frankly a change of only one tooth isn't worth the trouble and expense.

It is worth it if going 2 teeth on the trans pulley requires a belt change to a non-oem belt that is prone to failure. I changed my 66t rear to a 68t rear which is equal to 1 tooth on the trans pulley and it was worth it. A 6speed bikes gearing sucks so bad any help is welcome. If a guy can fit a 30t and still use an oem belt then I'd go for it, but if you have to use an off brand belt......no way.

Using the same approach I mentioned earlier, at 2,500 rpm that change of gearing will result in 2,500 x 68/66, giving 2,575rpm, virtually identical to a 31T on its own.

On an 2009 up 6th gear with stock size tire
3000 rpms 30 tooth = 73.7 Mph
2900 rpms 31 tooth = 73.6 Mph
2800 rpms 32 tooth = 73.4 Mph
3000 rpms with 49 tooth clutch basket = 73.8
With the 49 tooth basket gear do you have to change the primary chain.

Yes, the chain comes with the basket.

I went to the 68 tooth on the rear and have a 31 for the front when I get to it. That will move my wheel back to very close to the original position = stock belt will work just fine.
