RE: stage 1 a/c
i've got both a SE and a AN BS. I bought the Chrome AN, and comparing the two, I like the AN construction much better, and thus far have had no oil misting from the AC, like I do with the SE on a long hot trip. (Course, different engines 88 vs 96 with a cooler)

RE: stage 1 a/c
I went with the big sucker. SE ac tend to be built cheap now. Big sucker uses a K&N filter, while SE uses paper. There were alot of problems with the SE filters on 2004 and up sportsers. They had pin holes after very few miles. There were alot of complaints. BT SE filters may be okay, but based on my Sportster experiance, I don't trust them. Big sucker is cheaper also, and better built.
