This is what you need, genuine HD part from the H-D detachable tour-pak conversation kit as pictured on page 393 0f the 2017 catalog. Mounts behind and is secured by the tail light. The individual part # is 67900167, the entire conversation kit is 53000291A. I had a detachable rack and ran Custom Dynamics Fillers for run, turn brake so I did not need the entire kit only the license plate bracket, but traded before it arrived.

 

What year of bike were you going to initially install it on?
Also is possible to mount it inverted, so that the plate is below the licence plate?

 

The HD kit is intended for 14 and up Rushmore bikes with the new saddle bags. Since this fits behind the tail light it should fit all 09 and up touring bikes with a center tail light. It won't fit inverted since it is formed to fit the contour and a attachment point with the plate up.

 

Would rather have a curved plate do you have?

 

Is this item still available, I'm unable to PM don't have that ability I don't post but been a member since 2005. I live in North Louisiana and am interested in this, have a 2009 Ultra Classic about to install the tour pak conversion kit and hate the Lic Plate relocation in it.
