I searched the forum and don't see exactly what I'm after regarding tour-pak differences between the Electra Glide and Road Glide King tour-paks.

I have a 2002 Electra Glide and just bought a new tour-pak for a 2006 through 2008 Road Glide at a great price online. I understand that the this year Road Glide tour-pak has no lights at all which is fine by me and it's a solid vivid black as I want. The dealer that sold it to me said it will mount up fine. The detachable kit and docking hardware kits appears to be the same part numbers for both bikes according to the HD catalog.

Does anyone know the real difference between a standard King Tour-pak and the Road Glide tour-pak?

im using a tour pak off an 84 shovelhead on my 04 road king. difference???? you tell me!

 

That looks pretty good. Got the tour-pak yesterday and installed it and it fits and looks fine.

 

don't shovelhead tour paks have two raised areas to go on either side of the rear fender mounting rack-compared to newer styles with flat bottoms

 

Color schemes ( pinstripping etc)
