How do these get connected? Do you have to cut the wires or is there a kit I can buy like I did in my car, where it connects with the stock plugs?

Dinggus,

I liked the head unit very much. The problem I ran into was that I didn't have enough room in my aftermarket to properly mount the amp. If you have the room it works very well.

The head unit alone was pretty loud but adding 45 watts RMS made it this much better.

Biker90,

The depending on your head unit it will plug into most newer Alpine stereos. You'll have to do some cutting to get it to work with another head unit it's really designed to plug into an Alpine unit

If you have a newer Alpine unit, it will be a direct plug in, takes about 1minute to install

I meant the actual radio. If I want to swap from the original HK to this kenwood head unit, do they sell a kit that plugs in to the original plugs or do I have to rewire?

Biker,

Sorry, I misread your post. The Kenwood head unit is not a plug and play swap with the factory wiring. You'll have to do some cut and splicing but it's not that hard. I don't know of any quick plug adapters, You could look at the Biketronics unit, I think that may be a solution.

Alpine media head unit and amp are sold pending payment. Kenwood head unit is still available. It's also a nice I-pod ready unit for your car if you're looking to upgrade the stock factory radio.
