Oil filter comparison with pics
The difference in these filters are the rubber seal. The mobile filters seal is wider and thicker. The harley filter has more inlet holes and they are a larger diameter. The harley filter weighs 10.9 oz and the mobile filter weighs 11.7 oz. As far as I can tell they are the same internally. The only thing I see of concern are the inlet holes, will the lack of inlet holes in the mobile filter reduce flow?

irun the Mobil1 filters always and have never had an issue in 3 yrs.

Main thing is the filter media, I think HD is 3 micron if the mobil 1 is the same yer good to go

OEM oil filter gets my vote. Just like DPete mentioned.

Sorry about this thread being in the parts section. I meant for it to be in the touring section. If it can be moved there I would appreciate it.

Mobil 1 is twice twice the price as OEME. I'll stick with OEM. Ten years, three Harleys, no issues.
