Default What are the "must do" items for new trike?

I'm looking at a 2015 Tri Glide and have read many helpful posts here. However, I would like your feedback on what you all consider the "must do" list for a new trike. Looking at riding comfort, handling, visibility, etc. rather than the cosmetic.

Thanks again for the wealth of knowledge here!

I would start with comfort
1. drivers backrest
2. Highway pegs
3. Smaller windshield ( I use a 7" recurve from LRS)
4. Cup holder for both driver and passenger
5. Lift Kit ( I'm going with DKCustome Kit)
You could then move onto new header pipes to remove some of the heat( I'm going with FullSac) new mufflers, handlebars if needed, seat if needed...

Congrats on getting a TriGlide.

Great question and I'm sure you know you'll get different inputs. So here is mine.

1. Footpegs fitted for you.
2. Remote control garage door opener receiver and transmitter. It's tied to your dimmer switch.
3. Tour Pak Auxiliary power port.
4. Tour Pak Interior Light
5. Trunk Interior Light
6. Air Wing Tour Pak Luggage Rack
7. Trike Rear Bumper
8. Trike Fender Trim
9. Trike Air Wing Fender Rail

This is what I would got when I got mine plus more. I would get these again without a doubt. Basically I wanted a TriGlide Limited. I looked at an Ultra Limited and installed things on the Ultra Limited that weren't on the TriGlide.

Plus I've gotten more but that is just other things.

Good Luck

You can ride it just like it comes from the factory for quite awhile. Over time, you will develop some sense about what you " must have". What you've asked is such a personal question, I'm sure that the answers you get are going to be all over the board.

Hi,

COCHON posting is correct. You don't need anything to ride out on a new TriGlide.

FYI though, check with your dealer of the items you have put on prior to pick up will be covered by a longer warranty. Some people will suggest getting electronic items installed to get longer warranty. Good Riding.

One caveat
I would have a rear bumper installed before I left the dealership.
Needed to ride it? No. But you'll be glad you have it if some idiot backs into the rear of your new TG. Nothing back there to protect the rear box...bumper should be standard equipment
But this is my opinion...

Some other not-so-glamorous things but glad I added them; floorboard extenders, front shift peg extender, wider brake pedal, and heated grips. LED turn signals increase visibility.

I put in a hidden antenna in the fairing and removing the one on the tour pack made access to it a lot less cumbersome. And I think I'm going to get something a little more robust than that tether on it.

The two bags for inside the trunk are great for traveling. A nice waterproof bag for use on the airwing rack, too.

Lots of options; that was just a few. Some folks consider more chrome as an essential!

Like others have stated, you going to get answers all over the place...
Maybe attend some bike functions at the dealerships in your area and look and ask questions of TG owners, everyone likes talking about their bike.

When we bought ours ( used ) it had the mini saddlebags on it...I originally didn't think we would ever want or buy them, but after having the saddlebags I don't think I'd be without them...strange how things like that work...
