Default What to use for glue film from removed protectant

I removed some of the "Paint Protectant" due to the look of it.
It has bad looking chips, worse than if it just would have hit the paint.
I might put a new piece on, maybe ?
In the meanwhile, it left some nasty glue film on the fender.
What should I use for glue film from removed protectant ?

First is patience, try Mothers wax with cleaner. Then a clean solvent like mineral spirits. Use clean cloths (cloth diapers) and take your time. Not in direct sunlight. Works for me and I am super **** about swirls on the clear coat.

A good all around solvent is Xylene. It is the ingredient in Goof Off. About $17 per gallon at Lowe's or HD.

Yep, WD40 believe it or not is a great adhesive remover and doesn't harm paint or clear coats. It is however very important to use a clean soft cloth like a microfiber one. Do NOT use a terry cloth towel or rag.

We wrap vehicles here at my shop. When we remove old vinyl we use isopropyl alcohol.

Ditto on the alcohol , I replaced one of my fender films and the alcohol isn't real fast but it is cheap , works well and definitely will not harm your paint !! Ebert
