New To 3-Wheels

I have not rode since i increased it to 40. i only did that because the service manager suggested it. I am a big guy weighing in at 290, i am 6'6" and ride solo. So my only experience so far is with it at 25. I figured at 40 the ride would be rough but yall tell me, remember i am the rookie on the block.

I (275#) run my rear tires at 23 - 24# and my shocks around 38 - 40#. I do not change either one when my wife rides along. Lower pressure in the shocks will help smooth out the ride, but I have also found it will bottom out more on the rough stuff. You need to experiment with what combination is most comfortable for you.

A lot of folks said that they found the sweet spot on shock pressures, but you really need three of 'em. One for riding solo, one for two-up, and a third for two-up fully loaded. I went with the Pro Action shocks and really like them so far, will know better after a 12 day trip up into Maine at the end of the month.

Just got back Sunday, I'll try to write something up after I get un-buried with stuff. In short, we are well satisfied, but now I'd probably do the whole new DK setup instead. I also realize I should do the front end eventually.
Edit. Let's just say that for us, beforehand a 250 mile day was fine, 320 was starting to get uncomfortable, and a 420 mile day was just painful. we did three or four 340's and were still doing pretty good, I'd say 400 to uncomfortable and maybe 500 to painful would be possible. But not nearly as painful as my ears would be from the voice in the intercom after pushing on that far.... That includes some other less significant changes, though.
