Default Front tire

I have a 2012 TriGlide. What front tire is everyone using? I am getting about 14 to 15,000 out of a front tire now. Is there anyone getting better that this?

Try a search there are many threads on the subject. Most are using rear motorcycle tires mounted backwards on the front of trikes. Avon just came out with a tire made just for the front of trikes.

Good luck

I just purchased the Avon trike tire; haven't had it mounted yet so I can't comment on wear or handling. It did get good reviews on web sites. It also comes with a 15000 mile tread wear warranty. Best price I found on line was bikebandit.com; 125.95 with free shipping.

I'm on my third stock Dunlop front tire at 62,500 miles. The first two got between 20 and 21 thousand miles before replacing. The performance is suitable for my riding style so see no reason to change brands. I've got Bravura 50,000 mile tires from Discount Tire on the rear. They are a bit harder compound than the Dunlops but the performance is adequate. Price was very good at $65 each.

I've got over 21,000 miles on my Dunlop 402 with no complaints. When I replace it this Spring, it will be with another Dunlop.
