Default Windshield Treatment

Anybody using rain repellent on their windshield? A couple of reviews said HD's wipes were crap. I have a hard time seeing through the windshield when it's raining hard. (mine is stock height - 2013)

I have been told that RainX now makes a treatment designed for MC windshields and helmet visors. Advance Auto is supposedly carrying it, but I have yet to see it!

I haven't seen it in our neck of the woods either.

Default I use Polish

I use Microfiber towels and polish Mothers or Maguires any quality wax on my windshields. Polish works like Rain X only you need no special product what I have enough special gizmo polish and goop. Try a good polish on an old take off windshield see for yourself it works for me. Windshield washer fluid removes bugs, and microfiber towels of course. Only clean micro fiber towels X2 ride safely and often as possible fearless

I use the quick wax used for a quick wipe down for bugs & all. Then if I'm home I use a good coat of lemon pledge. Has worked for YEARS !
Even smells nice traveling slow.

Plexus is what I use. Easy off bugs and keeps the Plexiglas shields clear and protected. To clean bugs, I use a microfiber cloth and warm water. I lay a warm damp cloth on shield and let sit for a minute then wipe off, and dry with another microfiber cloth.

I suggest you lower your shield until you are looking over it. You will still get the same protection if you don't get it too low and you will not have to worry about rain, road grime, etc., obstructing your view.

It is easy enough to cut the shield and I thing there are instructions in the DIY section of this forum. If you don't want to do that, get a lower shield from the factory or many of the after market companies. A properly fitted shield is a must for worry free riding.
