Weekend or Weekday
Long time lurker here. I appreciate all I have learned on HD Forums. My wife and I have a 2014 TG and are planning a trip in the next week or so to Arkansas. Looking for some opinions if it would be better to take a long weekend trip or a trip during the middle of the week.
To me it seems a middle of the week trip would be great, less people, more places of lodging are available, but I don't know if there would be some things we might miss by doing that.
If we go on the weekend, we will probably stay in Harrison, its the closest place I found near where we want to ride that has availability or not too expensive.
If we during the week we can get stay in Eureka Springs.
BTW, we are coming from South of Houston.
Thanks again
Rocky

Week days will always be less expensive. It all depends on what sight seeing you want to do this time of year. Some places may be very busy on weekends, like Haunted Hotel, or Downtown Under, ext . You would have to plan what amusements you want to see and use the internet to ensure they would be open as well as purchase tickets ahead of time.Just plan ahead for the days you plan to visit. If riding and just seeing the sights, I would say it does not matter. Just expect more traffic on the weekends. Getting that time of year when many people are going out every weekend to see the fall colors ext.

I live here and agree with weekdays. You may find some attractions closed for the season, but most heavier traffic is weekends now. If you do the Queen Wilhelmina stop and stay at the state lodge, it is a two night minimum unless they change the policy in the off season. But the ride across is nice. You can't go wrong with either Eureka Springs or Harrison for riding roads. Come on up and enjoy.

Wife and I are both retired so week day riding is preferable. Much less traffic, crowds, and just a lot more leisure time. Las Vegas for instance rooms are a lot cheaper, restaurants are never full and you can actually walk down the streets. Most National Parks have access. BUT, as I said, we are retired.
