Sadly, one similar to that used on the covered wagon my great grandmother rode in as a child.

Now that's funny, unfortunately it's pretty close to the truth when compared to IRS.

That is why I've said that my '16 is the last one Harley-Davidson will ever sell me unless they update to IRS. No need to IMHO. And even then, at my age, why bother ? I'll be 72 next year. Anything could happen health wise.

ROFL, so true.

Fortunately there are a few things you can do to get it to ride close to IRS quality.

Get a Comfort Lift, that will smooth out the ride, and improve the handling some.

Get some real Rear Shocks.

The difference is amazing. Below is what someone said after riding my TG that was set-up with the above components.

"I also rode Kevin's bike @ Kerrville as well. I was skeptical that the ride would be any different. I can second Robert's analysis. The ride was a absolutely different, approaching the ride and comfort ability of IRS. I was surprised. Its definitely on my list to do this Texan winter."

What if I just use standard shocks and put on the floor lift will that help much?
