Default 2016 HD Freewheeler

Since I have bought the bike, I could start in gear or neutral every time no problem. Never had the bike not want to start. I had an remote start added last weekend at the dealership and have had nothing but trouble. First, the bike kept shutting down in a turn stating "tip". Took it back to the dealer twice before they figured out that they programmed it wrong. They programmed it for a 2 wheeler not a trike. Now this week about every 3 to 4 starts I hear everything power up but the bike won't start. It doesn't matter what combo I try clutch, brakes in gear out of gear...it takes me trying everything like 4 or 5 times to get the bike to start. I am not sure what the dealer changed in my programming but it just pisses me off. I look like a blooming idiot not being able to start my own bike. And like many have said what if it gets stalled in an intersection or on the road and I can't get it started. I need my bike fixed what should I do?

I purchased it thru the dealership and they installed it that day. Not sure what the brand is.

how does this work without the fob being close by ? no need for a remote start on a motorcycle.

More like an alarm for the bike. It doesn't remote start the bike. It just makes it so I don't have to lock it with the key every time I get off of it.

Did they install the security system ? If so I bet it's the HD one, do you now have a key fob that requires it to be near the bike? Sounds like it.

The security should function fine, they come with most touring models.
I would take the bike back to dealer

Sounds like they forgot to "marry" the key fobs to the new control unit under seat.
