Default Tour pack

Is there a easy at to take the tour pack off. Looks like to me you can't even get back to the back bolts without scratching everything. Also can you locate it a inch or more back for passenger to have more room. I bought a riders back rest and it makes the seating a small area we're not as small as we use to be lol

You have to start with the bolts that are in the top of the trunk. There are 6 that hold the tour pac rack to the top of the trunk. Remove these nuts and the tour pac will come off with the rack. There is also some wiring connectors the need to come apart. Then you can lift the tour pac off. A second part of hands would be most helpful to avoid scratches. Once the tour pac is off and upside down on a padded bench, you can remove the four nuts that hold the rack to the bottom of the tour pac. Check to see if the tour pac is in the most rearward position (there were 2 on my 16). Mine was already in the most rearward spot, so I added DK's relocator in the 2" (middle) adjustment. Wife likes this a whole lot better. Good luck.

It did leave a gap of about 2" (I used the 2" adjustment on the DK relocator). I had my seat at a local seat guy to put a better grade of foam in the driver part. So I took the HD flap along and had him make a new one (used the factory plastic part that the screws go through). He made it at least 2.5 " longer and filled it with about 3 times the stock foam (kinda like a little pillow now). It fits well and wifey likes it so far. You would not know it is not stock.

Sorry, I do not. I'm not good at getting pics to the forum (my sig pic was a challenge for me!).
If you want to pm me your cell number, I would be happy to text you pics from my cell phone.

This Is truly a simple process, mine comes off when I ride solo, and back on for the wife.
